According to Cointelegraph, the Texas State Securities Board issued an emergency cease and desist order to AWS Mining PTY LTD, an Australian cloud mining company, requiring it to stop selling unregistered securities. The report alleges that AWS Mining and its multiple agents and Chief Marketing Officer Josiah Kostek violated Texas securities laws by enticing residents of the state to purchase AWS’s unregistered cloud mining power securities, promising “passive returns of 200% on each investment.” |
