Bitcoin poker site operator sentenced to two years probation and $25,000 fine

Bryan Micon, the former operator of a Bitcoin poker gambling website, has been sentenced to two years of probation and fined $ 25,000 . He admitted to illegally operating the gaming website earlier this year.

Bryan Micon was indicted by Nevada prosecutors in the spring and pleaded guilty in June . Micon 's sentencing hearing will be held at 9 a.m. local time in Las Vegas. Prosecutors did not immediately comment further on the matter.

Micon later returned to the United States to face charges.

According to a report by the Associated Press, his defense attorney Richard Shonfeld said Micon will complete his probation and immigrate to Antigua with his family to find a technical job at a local newspaper.
