Emercoin Blockchain Engine becomes the first blockchain solution available on Microsoft Azure Marketplace

On June 29, 2016, Emercoin and Microsoft Azure released the Emercoin Blockchain Engine on the Azure Marketplace. This is the first blockchain-based application from the Azure platform released on the Marketplace. After the launch of the application, all users can deploy the available Emercoin Blockchain Engine, including the EMCSSH service and an online wallet subscribed through Microsoft Azure. No additional setup or installation is required, providing a complete solution that can be used immediately.

This solution can be used as a structural basis and blockchain subsystem for more complex systems as well as a standalone online access web wallet.

At its core, the solution consists of a virtual machine running CentOS 7.2 and its dependencies, including the Emercoin software and external access via a secure JSON/HTTPS (API) protocol, as well as secure access to the web wallet via an HTTPS certificate generated on the client side. Authentication can be either a password or a client certificate with EMCCSL. The web interface provides full functionality, including financial operations and record management under the NVS subsystem.

Services available to users who subscribe to the Emercoin blockchain engine solution include: Emercoin Client (command-line client and API for blockchain and wallet), EMCSSH (provides secure remote login server service and prevents man-in-the-middle attacks), and EMCWEB (allows secure access to Emercoin wallets installed on the user's own cloud server). These services allow users to develop customized blockchain applications without having to install each client.

The platform will provide developers with the opportunity to create mobile or 'lite' applications with access to the full set of functionality of the Emercoin blockchain.

Microsoft Azure is now very popular with major enterprise companies. Since November 2015, enterprises have been able to seek out cryptographic and blockchain-related solutions on the platform. New members are regularly joining the Azure Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) project. It is the excellent performance of the project and the low cost of the distributed platform for experimentation and testing that attracts these companies.

Emercoin joined the Microsoft Azure project in January 2016 and became one of the earliest partners and blockchain implementation service providers. Today, Emercoin Blockchain Engine has become the first Microsoft Azure Marketplace application to provide blockchain services to end users around the world.

Microsoft Azure is an ever-expanding platform of integrated cloud services that provides capabilities including analytics, computing, database access, mobile solutions, networking, data storage and web technologies – all of which run quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. It is probably one of the most efficient and popular technology platforms in the world.

In the Azure Application Marketplace, users can browse thousands of available applications, covering almost all existing technology solutions. Emercoin Blockchain Engine is a free solution, and the only ones who need to pay are subscribers who need to run a virtual machine and its components.

The Emercoin blockchain engine provides a wide range of e-commerce and network security services.

Emercoin (EMC) is a decentralized cryptocurrency launched in December 2013. Emercoin shares many of the same features as Bitcoin, but also offers some superior services in both quantity and quality to developers and businesses around the world.
