Bitcoin mining pool Antpool supports unlimited Bitcoin computing power, accounting for 16.6% of the world

Recently, the world's largest Bitcoin mining pool Antpool is currently transferring 75% of its computing power to support Bitcoin Unlimited (BU). According to statistics, the current super-large Bitcoin mining pool Antpool accounts for 16.6% of the world's total computing power.

The debate between Bitcoin Unlimited and Segwit has been going on for two years. At the beginning, many Bitcoin users and Bitcoin mining pools chose to support Segwit, believing that it was the best solution to solve the congestion of the Bitcoin network and achieve Bitcoin expansion. But later, as the Bitcoin Core team changed the original plan that had been made public, the support rate of Segwit dropped sharply, pushing many supporters to Bitcoin Unlimited. For example, Antpool, the world's largest Bitcoin mining pool, also switched from Segwit to Bitcoin Unlimited.

Wu Qiushan, founder of Bitmain Technology, also told Bloomberg, “We will switch our entire bitcoin mining pool to Bitcoin Unlimited.

On March 7, Antpool began signaling the team to start a small portion of hash power to support the Bitcoin Unlimited alternative client. Ten days later, on March 17, something changed at the Chinese Bitcoin mining pool. A report from Antpool showed that Antpool was switching about 75% of its hash power to enable the Bitcoin Unlimited client. The report's author explained the switch in scaling technology using blockchains from 450,000 to 457,678.

Reddit user "arnoudk" stated:

Antpool just switched the usa3 node. Yesterday, it switched the usa1 node. Last week, it switched all of its bitcoin nodes in Beijing. In total, about 75% of Antpool’s hashrate now counts towards voting for Bitcoin Unlimited, with the rest of the votes remaining neutral (i.e. no Bitcoin Unlimited, no SegWit).
