10 Places Around the World to Learn More About Bitcoin

For quite some time, Bitcoin's audience has been limited to the online world, but more and more e-commerce businesses are beginning to accept cryptocurrency payments.

Recently, some places have shown a desire to be more open to digital currencies and are becoming hubs for Bitcoin.

The adoption rate of Bitcoin is judged by the number of Bitcoin ATMs or the number of institutions that accept the cryptocurrency.

The influence of digital currency can also be seen from the collaboration with coinmap.org, which shows where in the city or country there are places that accept Bitcoin payments.

Topping the list is San Francisco, USA, which is the base camp for many Bitcoin startups, such as Coinbase, and has become the technology center of California.

Currently, there are 177 merchants in the city that accept Bitcoin payments, and there is one Bitcoin ATM in operation in this city with a population of 837,000.

The next city we have to mention is Vancouver, Canada. The Bitcoin community in this city is particularly active, with 86 merchants accepting Bitcoin.

In addition, Vancouver, with a population of only 578,000, has 13 Bitcoin ATMs. Moreover, Canada is also the first country to sign laws and regulations to regulate cryptocurrencies.

The third is Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Currently, it has 74 institutions accepting Bitcoin payments and 1 Bitcoin ATM in operation.

Other cities in the Netherlands have also been open to cryptocurrencies, and Amsterdam is home to bitcoin startups such as BitFury and BitPay.

Other places include Ljubljana, Slovenia, Tel Aviv, Israel, Zurich, Switzerland, Tampa, USA, Buenos Aires, Argentina, New York and London.

In New York, a total of 120 merchants accept Bitcoin and five Bitcoin ATMs are in operation.

Meanwhile, London has four bitcoin ATMs and 88 merchants accepting bitcoin. Many bitcoin startups are also located in these two financial districts.
