Bitcoin continues to fall

     The price of Bitcoin fell sharply in the Asian session on Monday (September 14), continuing yesterday's continuous decline.

The quotes released by BITSTAMP show that Bitcoin/US dollar (XBT/USD) continued to fall from around 236 to 228 yesterday. It further fell to 226 in the Asian session of this trading day and is now trading around 227.

The quotes released by KRAKEN show that XBT / EUR (1.1343 , 0.0003, 0.03 %) continued to fall from 209 to 203 yesterday, and was further under pressure in the Asian session of this trading day, falling to around 202.

On the industry front, Japan's Jiji Press quoted sources as saying that Japanese prosecutors have filed a lawsuit against Mark Karpeles, former CEO of Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox, alleging that he stole nearly $2.7 million in customer funds.

Karpeles was arrested by police in August and charged in connection with the disappearance of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of bitcoin.

According to reports, the Japanese prosecutors filed a lawsuit against Karpeles on Friday, alleging that he embezzled a total of 321 million yen (120.437, -0.123, -0.10%) (about 2.66 million U.S. dollars) by transferring users' funds stored in Mt. Gox accounts without authorization.

However, Japanese prosecutors have not yet commented on the news.
