Digital currency company DCG Group receives investment from many well-known companies

     There is good news in the virtual currency market recently. DCG Group, the digital currency company established by Barry Silbert, has received collective investment from 11 companies including Mastercard and Bain Capital .

     According to Bloomberg, other investors include Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and New York Life Insurance. In addition, a report from CNBC states that other investors include First Market Capital, Oaktree Venture Partners, the Financial Times, TMT Group, RRE Group, Transamerica and SolonMark Capital .

     The last legendary investor who invested in Barry Silbert was Buffett, but ironically, Buffett does not recognize Bitcoin.

     " We have the flexibility to start companies, invest in companies, acquire companies, " Barry Silbert told Bloomberg. " That's what we're doing. We're focused on the industry."

     The company report further stated that the group will take stakes in 15 to 20 bitcoin and blockchain startups next year.

     Before the establishment of DCG Digital Currency Group, Barry Silbert will also establish a new company called Second Market next year.

     He is confident in virtual currencies and believes that distributed ledger solutions have great potential to change the financial services landscape . Previously, he has invested in some of the largest Bitcoin companies , such as Coinbase, BitPay, Circle , itBit, Ripple , Xapo, and Coinsetter.
