Healthcare products giant Philips has officially launched the Philips Blockchain Lab, an Amsterdam-based research facility focused on emerging technologies. Philips said that before opening this lab, they had conducted 6 months of exploratory research. The goal of opening this lab is to unite the company's IT experts, medical professionals and blockchain developers to continue to advance this research process. To carry out this research project, Philips is seeking collaborators and developers, and offers interested users a way to subscribe to the newsletter or to express their wish to participate in future initiatives directly to Philips. Philips is very optimistic about the application of blockchain technology in the medical field. Arno
In October last year, Philips reached a cooperation with blockchain record-keeping startup Tierion. The opening of this blockchain laboratory shows Philips’ determination to further promote the application of blockchain in the medical field.
