Bitmain responds to Q2 loss of more than $600 million: no comment

Bitmain responds to Q2 loss of more than $600 million: no comment

On August 14, Bitmain responded to the news that the company's Q2 loss exceeded US$600 million and said it would not comment.

Yesterday, cryptocurrency commentator WhalePanda retweeted Blockstream CSO Samson Mow's tweet: "Why did Bitmain raise funds so quickly and only show investors the first quarter's results? We are now in the third quarter. The reason is that Q2 was a disaster. Bitmain has $1.24 billion in inventory, and the price of S9 has fallen 85%! The loss in the second quarter was $6-7 billion." He then added that investors should urge them to disclose Q2 figures immediately before the IPO.
