Thailand SEC proposes new rules for digital asset custodians

On August 25, the Thai Securities Regulatory Commission proposed a set of supplementary regulations related to the custody of investors' cryptocurrencies held by digital asset business operators on Wednesday.

The newly proposed rules refer to the custody of fiat currencies in digital asset accounts, as well as crypto lending, or earning interest on crypto holdings. The Thai SEC is currently accepting public comments on the newly proposed regulations until September 22.
