According to Ars Technica, Soluna, a US cryptocurrency mining company, plans to build a wind power plant in Dakhla, Morocco, in January next year, with an estimated power generation capacity of 36 megawatts. Soluna was established by Brookstone Partners, a private equity firm in New York, USA. In addition, Moroccan local laws prohibit any renewable energy investor from selling 20% of its electricity back to the grid. In response, Soluna CEO John Belizaire said he hopes to revise the local laws. |
