According to Tencent Technology, on July 31 this year, Hangzhou Internet cafe owner Zhang reported to the police that 150 computers in two Internet cafes under his name were suspected of being illegally implanted with mining Trojans to perform Bitcoin "mining" operations, causing a sharp increase in electricity bills. The police investigation found that three maintenance personnel took advantage of their position in maintaining Internet cafe computers to illegally implant mining Trojans in more than 160 Internet cafes in Zhejiang Province, including 115 in Hangzhou, with more than 5,000 computers affected. It is reported that the three suspects have been approved for arrest by the Hangzhou Xiacheng District Procuratorate on suspicion of illegally controlling computer information systems. |
