Canadian university forced to shut down after cryptocurrency mining-related cyberattack

The information technology systems of St. Francis Xavier University in Canada were back online on Monday. Last week, the school was forced to shut down its network due to a cyberattack related to cryptocurrency mining. The school said in a statement that there was no evidence that any personal information on the network was compromised and the university will continue to "analyze and monitor suspicious activity in the coming days and weeks."
