The recent problems with Nvidia mining

1. Except for P104 and P106, the computing power of N cards in WIN7 mining ETH is abnormal

Including 1066, 1070, 1070Ti, 1080, 1080Ti, and perhaps P102, the RTX series is not clear yet.

As shown in the figure below: The ETH computing power of 1070 in WIN7 is only about 22, and the normal computing power is about 30.

Solution: Replace WIN10.

The problem is that the 8G video memory N card cannot mine GRIN31 after changing to WIN10.

2. P106 has abnormal ETH mining power when using 382 series drivers

With +600 video memory, the computing power of P106 should be able to reach 25+

In contrast, the CLO test of mining the same ethash algorithm has normal computing power. This shows that the computing power drops after the DAG grows.

It is not clear whether the computing power of the WIN10 system using the 382 driver is normal.

Solution: Upgrade the driver to 397+

3. DCH drivers are incompatible with traditional drivers

Many users have encountered the error "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue" when installing the driver, and even the same error message appears when installing back to a previously used version.

Now, the culprit has been identified: this error will occur when reinstalling traditional drivers after DCH drivers have been installed.

Many newly installed WIN10 also have the above error message when installing the driver. This is because your speed is too slow and WIN10 installs the DCH driver by default.

To install non-DCH drivers after DCH drivers are installed, we have found the following methods:

1. Unplug the network cable to prevent automatic installation of DCH drivers

2. Use DDU (a tool for uninstalling drivers) to uninstall the driver and restart. If you don’t have the DDU tool, follow the “Easy Miner” public account and send DDU, and it will automatically reply with the download address.

3. Install the driver and plug in the network cable
