Filecoin Phase 2 testnet reset started. Currently, the network is congested and most miners cannot generate wallet addresses

At 8:00 am on June 19, the second phase test network of the decentralized storage project Filecoin officially started to reset. Currently, due to severe network congestion, most miners are unable to generate wallet addresses, so mining has not started. Previously, Filecoin started the second phase test on May 15, but many problems occurred on the day of the test, causing the test network to suspend block production and the official website to show no data.

It is understood that the Filecoin testnet is used for the interoperable implementation of the Filecoin protocol. Its purpose is to evaluate Filecoin on a meaningful scale before launching the mainnet and solve any problems that may arise. Therefore, the underlying code is closest to the mainnet.

The main contents of the second phase of the testnet include: two interoperable Filecoin implementations; security proofs (WinningPoSt and WindowPoSt); distributed random beacon network Drand; cryptoeconomic structure; new document URL; security review.
