On June 19, the Changfeng County Public Security Bureau held a centralized lost property return ceremony for property-related crime cases, returning more than 10 stolen electric bikes and property involved in the case worth more than 300,000 yuan to the victims on the spot.
Since the beginning of this year, the Changfeng County Public Security Bureau has insisted on carrying out special operations to combat property crimes, and has organized a number of campaigns, including the "Spring Offensive", the Zhuan'an No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 special operations, to eliminate a large number of criminal gangs with serious harm and great influence, solve a large number of property cases related to the people's actual interests, and recover a large number of stolen property.
At the end of March this year, the criminal investigation department of Changfeng Public Security Bureau received a report from the staff of the State Grid Changfeng Company, saying that they found abnormal high-voltage loss near the Laoshuihu Middle School on the east side of the railway in Shuihu Town during work, and suspected that someone was stealing electricity. After on-site inspection, it was found that more than 160 Bitcoin mining machines were operating in an abandoned house in Laoshuihu Middle School, consuming huge amounts of electricity. On April 8, the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Changfeng County Public Security Bureau arrested five suspects of electricity theft through information analysis, successfully cracked this new case of stealing electricity using Bitcoin mining machines, and recovered a total of 280,000 yuan in stolen money.
During the lost property return ceremony on the same day, the police returned more than 10 stolen electric bicycles to the victims of theft and robbery, with a total value of more than 300,000 yuan. It is reported that in the first quarter of this year, the bureau has carried out a centralized return of stolen property activities, returning a total of 187,649 yuan worth of property to 31 victims involved in 26 cases.
