ASUS launches a mining motherboard that supports 20 graphics cards, making mining a breeze

Computer hardware giant Asus has launched a new product, the H370 mining motherboard, specifically for cryptocurrency miners.

As a follow-up to the B250 Mining Expert launched last year, Asus said the H370 "redefines the paradigm for second-generation cryptocurrency-related products." Of particular note is that this mining motherboard has the ability to support up to 20 graphics cards.

As of press time, it’s unclear how much Asus will price the motherboard or when it will be released. That said, Asus says the hardware will be available in the third quarter of this year. Asus plans to showcase the product, which it calls a “blockchain beast,” at the Computex 2018 event in Taiwan next week.

Other features of the H370 include a built-in monitoring system that allows users to track the operating status of up to 20 graphics cards inserted.

Asus wrote in an announcement on Wednesday:

“Less time spent maintaining your machine means more time for you to mine, which is why the H370 Mining Master includes a suite of diagnostic features to make your platform easier to manage.”

Asus is one of a growing number of hardware companies hoping to attract the interest of power-hungry miners in the cryptocurrency market. As reported earlier, AsRock, another motherboard manufacturer, is launching similar products for the market, and GPU manufacturers AMD and Nvidia have also seen a boost in profits due to demand for graphics cards from miners.
