Bitmain releases new micro-module computing platform AntRack, the first cabinet-type mining machine to lead the era of P-level computing power

Today, Bitmain, a world-leading technology company, held the 2020 Miners Conference in Sanya with the theme of "Riding the Wind and Waves, Setting Sail Again", and officially launched the new micro-module computing platform AntRack at the conference. As an integrated cabinet mining machine, this product has advantages such as hot-swap and modularization for easy deployment and maintenance, which can effectively save operation and maintenance costs and lead the deployment of P-level computing power advantages and efficient operation and maintenance.

Sun Minghui, head of Bitmain's AntRack project development, said, "We have noticed that customers are often faced with challenges in the implementation of rapidly expanding computing power deployment, such as the time cost caused by the replacement of old machines with technological upgrades, or the limitations of the environment on large-scale deployment. In order to help customers achieve efficient, energy-saving and scalable large-scale deployment, we have launched a new integrated cabinet-type product AntRack, which can quickly adapt to large-scale deployments, while reducing deployment and operation and maintenance costs with hot-swappable and modular design."

Hot-swappable modular design facilitates later operation, maintenance and expansion

AntRack adopts a hot-swappable modular design, including five modules: cabinet module, power distribution module, computing module, management module, and cooling module. The core computing board, control board, power supply, and fan can all be hot-swapped. This design brings convenience to operation and maintenance and expansion.

Integrated cabinet design, suitable for large-scale deployment

AntRack also adopts an integrated whole cabinet design to achieve rapid large-scale deployment. The integrated whole cabinet design is suitable for large-scale deployment in mining farms and data centers. The whole cabinet is connected to 1 three-phase power, 1 network cable, 1 inlet and 1 outlet, and mining can be carried out; in addition, in order to deploy water-cooled AntRack more conveniently and quickly, Bitmain also provides an integrated ANTBOX solution, which integrates water pumps, pipes, power distribution and 10 AntRacks in a 20-foot container, with a cooling tower outside, and can be operated by connecting to 2 three-phase power, 1 100M network cable and 1 water source. Customers only need to use and operate.

Redundant power supply design is used for the first time to reduce downtime

The computing module contains 4 hot-swappable power supplies, which can realize 3 in use and 1 in standby. The whole cabinet has 12 in use and 4 in standby. This design can effectively reduce the mining suspension caused by power supply damage and reduce losses. For customers who pursue reliability, a full configuration of 12+4 can be used; for customers who pursue return on investment, a 12+1 configuration can be used, in which the standby module can be hot standby or cold standby.

Rapid upgrade, energy saving and environmental protection

AntRack computing boards adopt a hot-swappable design, which means that when the chip is upgraded from 7nm to 5nm, 3nm or even 1nm, customers no longer need to purchase and deploy new machines. They only need to replace the computing board to increase the computing power of the machine without changing the power and reduce the energy efficiency ratio. The rest of the cabinet, power distribution, fan, control board, power supply, etc. can continue to be used, thus extending the service life of the equipment and saving energy and protecting the environment.
