Overclocking parameters are reset? You may need to "lock overclocking"

At the end of the article " EasyMiner Releases 4.2.0 ", the upgrade suggestion mentioned that the "lock overclocking" function will be introduced later. Do you remember it? A month has passed, and I am making up for it today.

1 2 cards 1660s, GPU1, GPU6 and GPU11 are selected in the box. The overclocking parameters are reset for various reasons and they work in a non-overclocked state, resulting in higher power consumption, higher temperature and lower computing power .

This situation may be due to improper overclocking parameters, for example: the power consumption is too low to support the system, the video memory is too high to run the system, or the card tray extension cable is damaged, causing the driver to be forcibly reset.

This is not exclusive to N-cards, but A-cards cannot ignore this problem . As shown in the figure below, GPU5 and 6 of 8-card 588 are also reset.

After the A card is reset, the power consumption is completely released, which is particularly prone to causing accidents such as burning wires, burning interfaces, and burning power supplies.

To prevent overclocking parameters from being reset, just enable the "Lock Overclocking" function. Click the downward triangle arrow to the right of the OK button in the overclocking settings, and click "Lock Overclocking" in the pop-up menu.

For users who have set up group control for multiple machines, you can find "Lock overclocking" in "Other operations" - "One-click setting" in the group control, and set up batch lock overclocking with one click.

Why is this good feature not enabled by default? This is due to historical reasons. Some graphics cards with poor physical condition may experience unstable phenomena such as infinite kernel restarts and no computing power after enabling this feature. Therefore, this power is left to you to decide.
