Prevention and treatment of spring catkins and high temperature in mining machines

In fact, the time when catkins appear in each region is different, and they usually appear in March and April. In chronological order, they are white poplar, willow and other poplars, such as Populus simonii and Populus canadensis. White poplar is the main poplar in Beijing. In mid-to-late April, 80% of the female poplar and willow trees will mature, which is the peak period and generally lasts for about a week.

Willow catkins will float in the air. Since the mining machine needs a lot of air flow to fan the heat, the willow catkins will be sucked into the mining machine and into the inside of the mining machine. Since the radiator structure of the mining machine is toothed, the catkins cannot be discharged and hang on the radiator, thus blocking the radiator. As a result, the mining machine cannot dissipate heat smoothly, and repeatedly high temperature protection, or even damage.

Add a dustproof net. Choose a dustproof net with fine filaments to minimize the impact on the incoming air. When the dust and catkins reach a certain amount, clean them in time without affecting the incoming air volume.

Check the miner regularly and observe the inside of the miner with the air intake fan. If there is accumulation of catkins, you need to dismantle the machine for cleaning. If the symptoms are mild, you can remove the front fan and clean it with a brush, or use an air pump to blow it in the opposite direction. If the blockage is serious, you can dismantle the machine for cleaning, but be careful not to mix the boards. If there is an anti-disassembly mark, you need to ask customer service whether it can be disassembled.

2. The harm and prevention caused by the large temperature difference between hot and cold as the weather warms up

This situation often occurs in cold northern regions, and miners who run machines in northern regions during winter should be especially careful.

Since the temperature in the north is between -10 and 20 degrees Celsius in winter, and the temperature starts to rise to 10-20 degrees Celsius during the Spring Festival, the temperature is low in winter, so basically we will take measures to warm up, such as reducing the air intake, changing the reverse direction of the mining machine, adjusting the position of the mining machine, etc. If we cannot adjust it back in time when the temperature rises quickly, it will cause the machine to be overheated.

Adjust in time according to temperature changes. Due to the large temperature changes and temperature differences during the winter-spring transition season, adjustments cannot be made once, but should be made multiple times, with the upper layer adjusted first. Pay attention to weather changes, keep the air intake no lower than 5 degrees at night when the temperature is low, and the upper layer temperature of the mining machine cannot be higher than 35 degrees at noon when the temperature is high.

Remark:

1. The high temperature protection of the mining machine is a means to protect the mining machine and cannot be used as a normal situation. Frequent triggering of high temperature protection may damage the computing board.

2. The latest mining machine and the new firmware will add improvement functions. When the temperature is high, the hashrate will not be immediately reduced to 0. The hashrate will be reduced to ensure the stability of the mining machine operation (the hashrate can be reduced by up to 5%, which varies from machine to machine). If the situation cannot be improved after the frequency reduction, the machine will be shut down for protection. Therefore, when the hashrate of the mining machine is low, be sure to check whether there is a high temperature situation.
