【Chain Think Club】Highlights of the sixth theme sharing

On March 26, the sixth high-quality blockchain sharing meeting "Chain Think" co-organized by DDN Community, Chain World, bit-z, Blockchain007, QB.com, etc. was successfully held. The theme of this technical sharing is: Brush off the noise of public chains, and enterprises are about to fully enter the blockchain era! Zhu Zhiwen, co-founder of DDN blockchain community, and Wu Lianyou, senior blockchain development engineer, were specially invited to participate in this sharing.

1. Development process of DDN-UI, an enterprise-level blockchain cloud platform

The first guest speaker, Mr. Zhu Zhiwen, is the author of the best-selling book "Node.js Blockchain Development" and one of the core developers of DDN enterprise-level blockchain. He has been engaged in software development, project management and other work for a long time. He is good at using new technologies to develop large-scale enterprise-level auxiliary production systems that combine software and hardware. Mr. Zhu shared some of his views on the current blockchain industry and the development process of DDN-UI, an enterprise-level blockchain cloud platform. He believes that the competition of blockchain public chains has stabilized, and enterprise-oriented services are an important trend of blockchain, which not only meets the needs of policies, but also meets the trends of the market, and can grasp the future development trend. In order to practice and explore this thinking, DDN blockchain launched the DDN-UI product. DDN-UI is an enterprise-level blockchain cloud platform product for enterprises, which integrates many environments and functions of blockchain, from chain creation, configuration, deployment, node monitoring, community management, etc. Visual operation makes the development and use of blockchain easier.

2. Dapp Development Practice

The second speaker was Wu Lianyou, one of the core developers of DDN enterprise-level blockchain. He has been engaged in blockchain bottom-level development for a long time and has rich practical experience. Mr. Wu introduced what Dapp is, some basic conditions for Dapp applications, and the difference between Dapp and the apps we usually use. He then introduced the concept of side chain and the characteristics of DDN side chain, and explained the design logic and intention of the side chain through case demonstrations. Finally, he demonstrated how to use DDN side chain and command line to develop a Dapp, and install, run, and uninstall it on the wallet.

3. Interactive Communication

During the interactive session, the guests discussed the following questions, and the two speakers gave clear answers:

1. Give an example of what Dapp is, what is the essential difference between the side chain and the main chain? Is it possible for DAPP to be as convenient as DDN-UI?

2. What is the difference between Layer2 and side chain? If the side chain stops operating and becomes a scrapped chain, can the transferred assets be brought back to the main chain to ensure the safety of the property?
