The country's first digital RMB roadside parking scene was launched in Shenzhen

Recently, China Construction Bank Shenzhen Branch cooperated with Shenzhen Road Traffic Management Affairs Center to open up the online digital RMB payment and recharge path for the "Yi Parking" App, providing an online digital RMB payment channel for roadside parking fees in Shenzhen.

It is reported that this is the first cooperative pilot of digital RMB in roadside parking scenarios. Temporary parking is a common situation for car owners in their daily lives, and the support of digital RMB will bring it a variety of payment methods.

According to Mobile Payment Network, Yi Parking App is a roadside parking application platform launched by Shenzhen Road Traffic Management Affairs Center, dedicated to providing roadside temporary parking application, payment, recharge and other services for Shenzhen car owners. Since its launch, the platform has 5 million registered users, and roadside parking spaces cover 10 districts in the city. Currently, the total number of parking spaces has reached more than 20,000, serving a large number of people and covering a wide area.

This cooperation is a new attempt and exploration by both parties in the field of temporary roadside parking. On the one hand, it can provide car owners with more diversified payment methods. Users can choose to pay with the CCB digital RMB wallet when recharging the Yi Parking App, or they can directly choose the digital RMB wallet to pay when prepaying, which is convenient and fast.

On the other hand, it will help to build an interconnected digital RMB ecosystem. It is reported that Yi Parking is the only service platform for the parking project of the Shenzhen Road Traffic Management Affairs Center, and CCB, as one of the partners, revealed that it will explore the digital RMB sub-wallet access model in the future, supporting users of digital RMB wallets of all operating institutions to use digital RMB to recharge and pay in roadside parking scenarios, thereby linking the entire digital RMB payment ecosystem.

In addition, according to CCB, with the arrival of the New Year, CCB plans to launch a New Year Happy Shopping event, and will distribute Spring Festival digital RMB red envelopes to citizens staying in Shenzhen, and support winning customers to recharge and consume on the Yi Parking App.

As an important financial infrastructure in the digital economy era, the digital RMB will continue to explore ways to integrate into more transportation scenarios in the future as the digital RMB pilot progresses. The convenience and accessibility of the digital RMB will provide innovative highlights and driving force for the development of digital finance.
