Zcoin XZC MTP Mining Software Mining Tutorial

Zerocoin has been upgraded to the MTP algorithm, which supports mining on multiple devices.

To mine Zcoin, you need to use a miner that supports the new MTP algorithm. Currently, NVIDIA miners have been released, and CPU miners can also be used. AMD miners are still under development and can be completed in a week or two.

According to Zcoin, the best hardware for mining MTP is a GPU with at least 4.5 GB of video memory. In addition, according to their test results, the GTX 1080 TI mines MTP at 400 to 500 Kh/s, while the Intel I7 4790k has a hashrate of about 5-6 KH/s per thread.

Now to mine MTP, all you need to do is configure the miner accordingly and run the miner. To configure we need two things.

1. Zcoin Wallet Address

2. Mining pool address.

You can even try solo mining, but it is not recommended for small miners.

It is recommended to join a mining pool. Here is a list of mining pools that are ready to support the hard fork.

Now it is very easy to configure the miner. All you need to do is create a batch file and enter the configuration accordingly. If you are new to it we recommend you to read the beginner’s guide for CCMiner. Below are example configurations for both NVIDIA and CPU miner.

NVIDIA:

 ccminer.exe -a mtp -o stratum+tcp://xzc.f2pool.com:5740 -u a4jnPwCjFefUJSXmyDoq2bQP4WzSAerrrC -p password

CPU:

 cpuminer.exe -a mtp -o stratum+tcp://xzc.f2pool.com:5740 -u a4jnPwCjFefUJSXmyDoq2bQP4WzSAerrrC -p x -t 4

numberofthreads refers to the number of threads

NOTE: With CPU mining it is recommended that you have a computer with more than 8 GB of RAM as the miner uses about 6 GB of RAM. Also make sure to specify a number or CPU threads, if you don't then the miner will use the maximum number of threads.

Once configured, save it as a .bat file and run the file.
