"Ming Palace" is one of the twelve palaces. The "body palace" is not within the twelve palaces. It is calculated by comparing the birth month of the old calendar (lunar calendar) with the twelve branches of the palace within the Ziwei star. In other words, the "body palace" must be attached to any of the twelve palaces. The relationship between the Life Palace and the Body Palace is the same as the relationship between one of the twelve palaces and the "Body Palace". Whenever people study Zi Wei Dou Shu, they always come into contact with the Life Palace. This extremely important palace is usually neglected by some scholars. The connotation of "Life Palace and Body Palace" is the first key point in the introductory concept of Bazi. Life is the external expression of a person, which is equivalent to the hardware part of a computer system; Body is the spiritual connotation of a person, which is equivalent to the software part of a computer system. The body and life are like a living whole composed of an organic combination, and its characteristics must be the manifestation and imitation of the characteristics of the environment on which it depends for preservation.

The main influences of the body palace are divided into three points:

1. Strengthening effect: The palace where the body palace is located will strengthen the fortune of that palace. For example, if the body palace is in the spouse palace, the good or bad luck in terms of emotions will be more obvious than in other palaces.

2. Contrast effect: The life palace looks at life and despises one thing. A person's approach to a matter is often inconsistent. The life palace often represents the first half, while the body palace represents the second half. For example, if someone has Wu Tan Jian Shi Kong in his life palace and Zi Sha in his body palace, he will often be unsure of the direction and be hesitant at the beginning of doing something; but once he starts doing something, he will often have good persistence and execution; on the contrary, if the life and body palaces are reversed, there will be a phenomenon of having a beginning but no end.

3. Correction effect: Generally speaking, the life palace is the main factor in fortune telling. With the increase of time and age, the proportion of the body palace also increases. Generally speaking, it takes effect after about 35 years old. For example, if a person has a weak Life Palace and a strong Body Palace, he is more likely to be tired or unlucky when he is young, but after many years, he will have a phenomenon of gradually getting better and better; on the contrary, if the Life Palace is strong and the Body Palace is weak, it will be a bit like prosperity first and then decline.
