Introduction to Yin-Yang Prediction Method

The existence of opposites and unity is the fundamental law of all things, the code of conduct for all things, and nothing can exist in violation of this law. It is the parent of change, the origin of life and death, and the residence of gods. Therefore, Zhouyi predictions must focus on this fundamental issue - Yin and Yang. It explains that the growth, development and extinction of all things in the universe are the result of the constant movement and interaction of the yin and yang aspects of things. Therefore, the theory of Yin and Yang has become a thought and method for understanding and mastering the laws of nature. No matter what kind of divination is used, it cannot go beyond the scope of yin and yang. Therefore, if we want to accurately predict the development process of things, we must explore the laws of yin and yang changes.

Section 2 The meaning of Yin and Yang

Ancient thinkers believed that everything in the universe is composed of two aspects that are both contradictory and interdependent. These two aspects are called yin and yang.

Generally speaking, Yang represents the dynamic, active, and strong aspects of things. For example, movement, strength, activity, excitement, positivity, brightness, tangible, functional, rising, exposed, light, heat, growth, life activities, etc. Yin represents the other side of things that has attributes such as stillness, inactivity, and gentleness, for example, stillness, gentleness, inactivity, inhibition, negativity, obscurity, formless, material, descending, within, heavy, cold, reduction, and physicality.

When two things have a certain connection, they can be divided into yin and yang. For example, the sky is yang and the earth is yin; the sun is yang and the moon is yin; fire is yang and water is yin; men are yang and women are yin; day is yang and night is yin...

Section 3 Yin-Yang Prediction Law

The Yin-Yang prediction law is based on the Supreme Law of "One becomes two", and "two" refers to Yin-Yang. "Two" returns to "one", and "one" is the Tao. The Book of Changes says: "Being similar to heaven and earth, one does not violate them. Knowing all things and benefiting the world, one does not go beyond them. Going sideways but not drifting, being content with heaven and knowing one's destiny, one does not worry." All things are born from the great way. When making predictions, one directly takes yin and yang, corresponds to people, events and things, and immediately determines good and bad luck.

1. Everything that is bright is Yang; everything that is dark is Yin.

2. Anything that is neat and tidy is Yang; anything that is messy is Yin.

3. Anything that is passionate is Yang; anything that is cold is Yin.

4. Everything that is tangible is Yang; everything that is intangible is Yin.

5. Anything that is straight is Yang; anything that is crooked is Yin.

6. Yang represents smoothness and development; Yin represents blockage and retreat.

7. Yang represents the gentleman and the noble; Yin represents the villain and the right and wrong.

8. Yang represents men in charge; Yin represents women looking up.

9. When Yang energy is strong, the gentleman will lead the government and everything will be beneficial; when Yin energy is strong, the villain will bully the inferiors and rebel against the superiors, stirring up trouble.

10. Yin alone cannot produce life, Yang alone cannot grow; my heart is the law, and I will be connected if I feel it.

11. Yang should not be suitable for Yin, and Yin should not be suitable for Yang. The most taboo is the opposite of Yin and Yang.

12. Carry the Yin and embrace the Yang, and pursue balance.
