Lead researcher Omri Gillas said the judgements were based on the style, price, colour and condition of the shoes being worn. During the study, 63 University of Kansas students viewed images of 208 different pairs of shoes worn by study participants. Volunteers for the study were photographed wearing the shoes they most commonly wear, and then they filled out a personality questionnaire.

So, what do your shoes say about your personality? Some of the findings were expected: People with higher incomes tended to wear more expensive shoes, while brightly colored shoes were more often worn by extroverts.
