The thirteen parts are thirteen large points on the center line of the human face, and each large point contains several small points. It can be said that these thirteen major points are equivalent to thirteen team leaders, each of whom leads a group of team members, and their team members stand on the left and right sides of the team leader in a horizontal arrangement. The names in the table below are based on the Complete Collection of Divine Physiognomy.

The specific positions of each part in the song of the Thirteen Parts General Chart will be needed when discussing the fortune in the current year, so it must be memorized. Be sure to remember all the specific parts involved in the annual luck song.

When looking at the human face vertically, the ancients divided it into thirteen parts. These thirteen parts are divided from top to bottom, corresponding to the three elements of heaven, earth and man. Physiognomy divides the face into thirteen horizontal rows, represented by the thirteen parts in the center line of the face, which are the most important parts of the face. When studying and researching human physiognomy, you must memorize these thirteen parts. The thirteen parts are arranged vertically from top to bottom, as shown in the following figure:

Section 3 Analysis of the Thirteen Parts of the Face The thirteen parts of the face are divided into thirteen points by the vertical line in the center of the face. The good or bad of the physiognomy at each point implies the good or bad of one's life circumstances. "Xiangli Hengzhen" says: Thirteen parts of the face are the "critical points". If the face is plump, bright and smooth, it will be auspicious. If there are moles, spots, lines, protrusions, depressions, injuries, or deviations, it will be inauspicious. The thirteen parts represent the growth process of the human internal organs, brain tissue and spinal nervous systems in the mother's body. Tianzhong and Tianting represent the nervous system and circulatory system (i.e. the spinal cord and brain marrow) that are first formed in the fetus, Sikong, Zhongzheng and Yintang represent the throat and respiratory system, Shan Gen represents the cardiac circulatory system, Nianshang and Shoushang represent the metabolic system (liver and gallbladder), Zhuntou represents the digestive system, Ren Zhong represents the endocrine and reproductive system, Shuixing and Chengjiang represent the digestive and excretory system, and Di Ge represents the development of bones and cerebellum.

Tianzhong - If Tianzhong is plump, it indicates good luck in youth, living parents, early entry into officialdom or early starting a business, and it is conducive to long-distance travel, and one will not be punished by law throughout his life. If the center of the sky is sunken, it means that there will be no inheritance to be enjoyed by the ancestors, and there will be disasters such as official punishment or imprisonment. If there are gray or black moles and spots on the sky, it means that the parents will be punished. Anyone whose physiognomy is flawed in the Tianzhong will suffer misfortune until the age of sixteen, and all parts of the Tianzhong will also be affected.

Forehead - A broad and prominent forehead indicates good fortune in youth. If there are also the Sun and Moon Corners and the back of border towns or mountains and forests, it indicates a very noble appearance. If the forehead is sunken and has an ugly complexion, it indicates that the young boy will have bad luck and will rarely be loved and cared for by his elders. Anyone with a flaw in the forehead will suffer misfortune until the age of 19, and all parts of the forehead will also be affected.

Sikong is in charge of the relationship with parents in the Tianting Palace, while Sikong is in charge of one's own affairs. If the Sikong is high and steep, one will be able to establish himself early and will be easily supported by noble people. If the Sikong is flat or sunken, one will have many setbacks in career during his youth and will never achieve fame and honor in his life. If there are bad lines or moles on it, one will have a rough life. If the Sikong has a bad complexion, one will suffer shock or unexpected disaster. Anyone with flaws in Sikong's physiognomy will suffer misfortune at the age of 22, and all parts of the body attached to Sikong will also be affected.

Zhongzheng is in charge of one’s own affairs. Anyone with a prominent and prominent bone will establish himself early, gain fame and success easily, and accomplish his career easily. If the center of the line is sunken, it means that the person has no talent, will have difficulty in achieving success in his career, and will rarely have the support of a noble person. If there are bad lines or moles on it, not only will it be difficult for the person to achieve success in his career, but he will also often be disliked by people in society. Anyone with flaws in the center of the physiognomy will suffer misfortune until the age of 25, and all parts of the body above, below, left and right will also be affected.

The brow is the central point for observing a person's life destiny. A person with a broad, flat, bright and smooth forehead like a mirror will have good luck in life, a successful career, and the ability to carry on the family business. He will also be extremely intelligent. If the forehead is narrow and sunken, it means that the person has a bad personality, learns a lot but achieves little, has difficulty in having good luck in life, and has difficulty inheriting the family business, especially if the eyebrows are locked. If there are acne scars on the forehead, it means that you will have to raise other people's children; if there are gray or black moles or hanging needle lines, it means that the life palace is broken and its destiny will be affected. Anyone with a flaw in the forehead will be unlucky when he reaches the age of 28. The years when the forehead is in its prime (i.e. 28 to 32, 41 to 43, 52, 53, 56 and 57) will also be unlucky. All parts of the forehead will also be affected.

Shan Gen - Shan Gen is the connecting point between the celestial part and the human part, and it is also the place where the three yangs and three yins meet. The root of the mountain should be high rather than low. If it is low, the two energies of heaven and man will not connect, and if the fortune reaches this point, it will definitely lead to disasters. It should be wide rather than narrow. If it is narrow, the interaction between yin and yang will not be smooth, and if the fortune reaches this point, it will definitely lead to troubles with villains. Evil lines and moles on the bridge of the nose indicate punishment and disaster. When evil colors invade the root of the nose, it is a precursor to illness. Anyone with a flaw in the Shan Gen physiognomy will experience misfortune when his fortune reaches this point or in the years of his prosperity (i.e. 20, 30, 34, and 41), and all parts of the Shan Gen above, below, left, and right will also be affected.

If the years are prosperous and bright, the person will be healthy and have few illnesses throughout his life, and have plenty of food and clothing. If the Year Line is sunken or protruding, it means that the person will suffer from many illnesses in middle age and will not achieve success in his career. If there are vertical lines, it will be difficult for him to give birth and he will have to raise other people's children. If there are horizontal lines, he should pay attention to the safety of transportation when going out. Anyone who has flaws in the physiognomy of the year pillar will be unlucky during this period and the years of his fortune (i.e. 31, 32, 37, 38, 44, and 45). All parts of the body attached to the year pillar will also be affected. (Based on age at birthday)

The physiognomic standards for longevity are the same as those for age. Men with moles on their longevity signs will have at least one romantic disaster in their life, or suffer misfortune because of women; women will marry sick men, or work hard for their husbands all their lives. Those who start to decline in age as they get older will suffer at least one major failure in their life. Anyone with flaws in the physiognomy of longevity will surely suffer misfortune in the years of his fortune, and all parts of the physiognomy such as the left, right, top and bottom will also be affected.

If the tip of the nose is round and thick, the person will be kind and wealthy; if the tip of the nose is pointed and thin, the person will be vicious, greedy, and will have bad luck; if the tip of the nose is bright and yellow like millet, the person will have a lot of money; if the tip of the nose has spots or is dirty, the person will work hard all his life but gain little. Anyone with a flaw in the tip of the nose will suffer misfortune in the years of his fortune (i.e. 19, 28, and 48 years old), and all parts of the nose above, below, left, and right will also be affected.

If a person has a philtrum that is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, deep, long and straight, it indicates good luck in old age, good health, many excellent children, a kind heart, great talent and perseverance. If the philtrum is short, wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, it indicates that the person has a crooked mind, will not live long, and will have few children. If the philtrum is flat or non-existent, the person will be childless and will have little luck in life. Those with beards are a different matter. People who have moles or lines on their philtrum are unlucky. Anyone with a flaw in the philtrum will be unlucky in the years of his fortune (22, 51, 56 years old), and all parts above, below, left and right of the philtrum will also be affected.

Mercury - The mouth is angular, shaped like a horn bow, opening wider and closing narrowly, with lines on the lips, and the upper and lower lips covering each other, and the lips are bright and moist. This indicates that the person is smart and kind, and has a higher level of culture, living standard and social status than others. People with bad mouth or a big face and small mouth will have bad luck in their old age. Anyone whose Mercury is flawed will be unlucky when his fortune reaches the years of his reign (i.e. fifty-one, fifty-two, fifty-three, fifty-four, fifty-seven, sixty, sixty-four, and sixty-five), and all parts of the body attached to Mercury will also be affected.

The flesh of Cheng Zi and Cheng Yi is thick, with bones on both sides, a depression in the center with a beard, and it is raised upwards. It indicates the ability to drink a thousand cups without getting drunk, and is also indicative of wealth and honor. Defects in Chengjiang may indicate water disasters, poisoning from medication or food, or poor effects of medication. Anyone with flaws in the Chengjiang physiognomy will be unlucky until the age of 61, and all parts above, below, left and right of the Chengjiang will also be affected.

If a person has a thick and full pavilion, with heaven and earth bowing to it, he will be rich and noble, and healthy and long-lived in old age. If the chin is pointed, thin and concave, the person will have a bad personality and will work hard all his life; if there are bad lines, moles or depressions on the chin, the person will be poor in his later years and have a rough life. Anyone with flaws in the chin will be unlucky until the age of 71, and all parts above, below, left and right of the chin will also be affected.
