Bitcoin price breaks through $1,200

On November 29, MarketWatch reported that the value of Bitcoin soared, with the trading price breaking through $1,200 on Friday, setting a record high of $1,242, but the trading price has since fallen back to $1,183.

The U.S. Congress held a hearing on virtual currencies earlier this month, driving up the price of Bitcoin. On Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, Bitcoin trading prices rose to a high of $1,000. On Black Friday, Bitcoin also entered its "holiday shopping season."
