Chinese Bitcoin Trading Platform BTCChina Renamed to BTCC

     BTCChina, the Chinese bitcoin exchange founded by Bobby Lee, has changed its name to BTCC .

     Samson Mow, BTCC’s chief operating officer, said in a statement: “We are delighted to have adopted a new logo and branding that brings a modern feel to the BTCC experience and revitalizes it. The new BTCC logo retains some elements of the original to pay tribute to our heritage, while also conveying a simple, bold concept that better supports screens of all sizes. We now have a unified design language that we will gradually push to all of our web products, as well as our upcoming new mobile products - we are redesigning and developing mobile products from scratch.”

     However, one of the most interesting changes to BTCC is that the new website completely obscures its connection to China. Not only does the BTCC homepage not mention the previous name, it also does not mention the word "China," at least not on the .com version of the site. The BTCC.cn domain is owned by Baoding Tada Cooling Equipment Company.
