Chinese researchers propose Tor-inspired Bitcoin anonymity technology

Bitcoin, the digital currency invented by Satoshi Nakamoto, is anonymous and decentralized, and uses transparent transaction/blockchain technology to prevent double spending.

Although Bitcoin users can create an infinite number of addresses, they do not have true anonymity.

It is still possible to find out the identity of the trader by mining the transaction history.

Yu Jianping and QingChun ShenTu, two researchers from the ATR National Defense Science and Technology Key Laboratory of Shenzhen University, published a paper (PDF) on the preprint website, introducing a Bitcoin anonymity technology inspired by Tor, Transaction Remote Release (TRR).

Similar to the Tor network, the TRR network uses multiple nodes to encrypt Bitcoin transactions layer by layer to protect the user's identity.
