Microsoft has released the latest progress of its blockchain toolkit, revealing that they are exploring how to add Ripple's Interledger protocol to the toolkit in order to further enhance the service level. In October, Microsoft released the latest development of its Azure cloud computing platform - Microsoft's BaaS (Backend as a Service) allows developers to deploy private blockchains or semi-private blockchain networks on the Ethereum platform.
Gray also said that Microsoft has reached a partnership with Ripple, and Azure's BaaS is currently running a node on the Ripple consensus protocol network. Notably, Gray also suggested that the toolkit they developed will soon be able to add Ripple's Interledger protocol, which connects distributed ledgers with traditional bank ledgers. Gray said:
A Ripple spokesperson said their partnership with Microsoft was key to the success of the protocol. Gray finally pointed out that several more protocol packages will be added to the previously developed Ethereum toolkit, and other blockchain technologies are being considered, seeking to continue to expand its blockchain projects.
