Microsoft Azure blockchain project adds three new partners

Microsoft launched Azure, a cloud-based blockchain technology platform in November this year, which aims to help financial institutions easily and cheaply experience the encryption technology behind digital currencies such as Bitcoin. Microsoft's BaaS (Backend as a Service) service allows developers to deploy private blockchains or semi-private blockchain networks using the Ethereum protocol.

Marley Gray, Microsoft's director of financial services technology strategy for the United States, said in a new blog post that since they launched BaaS, their partners and users have given great response and positive comments. They have sounded the rally call for new partners. In addition to some important partners in the BaaS ecosystem, such as ConsenSys and Ripple, Microsoft has welcomed new heavyweight members, including Eris , CoinPrism (OpenChain) and Factom.

Eris Industries : Leading smart contract technology application platform.

Eris:db blockchain is a permissioned, logic-optimized blockchain that can be used to run EVM-compatible blockchains through a permissioned blockchain network. The following templates are in preparation:

  1. A single-validator eris:db blockchain client for rapid prototyping;

  2. Seven validator eris:db blockchain network for stable proof chains;

  3. Azure customers will be able to upload their requirements for blockchain networks as part of the instantiation process;

CoinPrism : OpenChain is an open source distributed ledger technology that allows organizations to issue and manage digital assets in a secure and scalable manner. Here is what Azure is working on:

  1. Single-node OpenChain testing and development environment;

  2. In Q1 2016: Products using Azure infrastructure will achieve high availability, with the potential to support thousands of transactions per second. In addition, Azure will deploy a template for an OpenChain instance as a pegged sidechain.

FACTOM : Streamline archival records, document business processes, and address security and compliance issues.

  1. Microsoft Azure has started to deploy the API for FACOM services, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2016;

  2. Recording Bitcoin prices from different exchanges on the Factom blockchain, expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2016;
