Will London’s position as a digital currency center be shaken after Brexit?

The UK's traditionally relaxed and friendly regulatory policies have made London a city where blockchain innovations emerge in an endless stream. However, after the UK's "Brexit", people have speculated that the previously relaxed environment and the status of technological innovation will change.

Previously, the UK's policy has been to spare no effort to create a "safe zone" for blockchain companies, exempt Bitcoin from additional taxes, and put pressure on the alliance while still a part of the European Union to let US regulators reconsider their policies and regulations on Internet innovation.

This Brexit event will undoubtedly make the entire technological innovation environment more uncertain.

According to Jacek Czarnecki, a digital currency expert at Wardynski & Partners, before last week's vote, many European companies began to work with local British companies to avoid the various "red tape" that may come with Brexit. But after the vote, Jacek told the media: "Although London was previously a digital currency center and still has a lot to contribute, its overall status will be lower than before, and there will be more uncertainty in the future."

Luxembourg, Berlin and Stockholm are all poised to become Europe's digital currency hubs, and Zurich was once identified by experts as a territory where new industry companies are vying to locate.
