Ethereum hard fork controversy resurfaces, a website claims it will sue the Ethereum Foundation and Slock.it to recover $1 billion in community assets

Note to readers: This article was written by the person in charge of bitflikz.com and only represents the author's own views, not the views of Babbitt.

We have decided to initiate legal action against the Ethereum Foundation and the Slock.it development team. If you are affected by the actions of the Ethereum Foundation and Slock.it, please join us.

As a member of the cryptocurrency community, we are driven by our own moral and legal values to initiate this lawsuit. We are protected by the legal system and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. We do this not only to challenge the authority of the Ethereum Foundation, but also to help the public gain oversight and review the financial transactions of the Ethereum Foundation and developers.

Did the Ethereum Foundation really commit a crime?

certainly.

They transferred $1 billion worth of blockchain trading assets, copyright materials, websites, trademarks, github, development funds, and employees to another scam software. Exchanges have all turned to the initial blockchain (ETC). We strongly urge the leadership of the Ethereum Foundation to reorganize and recover $1 billion of community assets from them.

The Ethereum Foundation has the funds of the entire community. In order to protect the interests of everyone, it is best to deprive them of this power and disperse the funds. There is serious corruption within the Ethereum Foundation, and any decision they make can only represent their own interests.

Driven by personal investment interests, they become the "third hand" planning hard forks (or 51% attacks).

The Ethereum Foundation broke its promise to crowdfunding investors and completely crossed the line. In today's society, it is not any individual who determines right and wrong, but the law.

The Ethereum Foundation claims to be a non-profit organization, so let us test its decisions and actions with the help of the legal system to see if they are consistent.

The Slock.it team, which created an investment vehicle, claimed responsibility for the loss of 11 million ether, worth $120 million, due to carelessness in the code they implemented.

Everyone in this group invested in Ethereum and kept calling on others to participate. Once a loss occurred, they created a fake blockchain to get the funds back.

This move not only allowed them to easily deceive investors, but the emergence of ETC as an alternative also enabled them to gain more economic benefits.

They colluded with the Ethereum Foundation and put pressure on the community in disguise through various high-pressure means (propaganda strategies, etc.).

Ethereum's initial chain (ETC) has been held hostage by slock.it and the foundation. They think that ETC, which appeared out of nowhere, is a free lunch, and they fantasize that the forked Ethereum is the main chain.

Once you start bringing politics, self-interest, and corruption into the blockchain, you have destroyed the value of the entire chain. In the world of cryptocurrency, any hard fork involving personal interests violates basic ethical principles; any behavior aimed at upgrading software and improving code is respectable; anyone who justifies his own selfish interests will eventually be defeated by lawyers.

Due to the different legal environments in each country, the first step in initiating a lawsuit is to determine the specific location. As far as we know, the Ethereum Foundation is registered in Switzerland as a non-profit organization.

Slock.it is registered in Germany as a company with the number HRB 30026 – VATID DE303959655.

We have initially decided to file a lawsuit in Switzerland and then seek legal help regarding the registration location of Slock.it. If you happen to be an expert in this area, please provide us with advice. We would be grateful.

What is our goal? Ask them for blockchain funding, trademarks, development plans, community assets (including reddit, websites, domain names) and any other relevant materials.

Once successful, we will recruit new developers and rehire some developers who are not involved in corruption and political behavior. If Ethereum developers want to participate, they must work within the instructions of the contract.

We will provide greater transparency for the source and destination of funds. Funding transactions will be recorded on the Ethereum public chain, and anyone will have the right to review them.

The Foundation has become thoroughly corrupt, and we must take action to maintain the stability of the community.

We call on Vitalik Buterin and the foundation leadership to resign and hand over community assets to more suitable people. For the security of the blockchain, we must hold a new election.

We have a wealth of evidence at our disposal, including chat logs, emails, tweets, meeting minutes, seminars, and more.

The cryptocurrency community is strong and fair. We must make an example of those who have no moral bottom line and abuse their power.

We will spend the next few weeks building the community foundation and gathering evidence for the lawsuit. This is not just our cause, we have already gained a lot of supporters, and we hope you can get involved.

We hope you can provide evidence to support this lawsuit. Emails, chat records, screenshots, tweets and any relevant records can serve as evidence to help the smooth progress of this lawsuit.
