Synereo Developer Fund Launches, Providing Nearly $200,000 in Grants for Decentralized Application Development

Synereo is experiencing rapid growth.

Although the alpha of the Synereo social network will be released as a relatively simple application, it marks the maturity of our platform and the ability to build fully decentralized applications: able to communicate, establish consensus, store and transfer files based on a P2P network without relying on any centralized servers.

With this, we have reached a significant milestone in the development of Synereo’s scalable distributed computing platform. We are now ready to move to the next phase, developing the infrastructure and tools for a fully decentralized economic structure.

To further this development, we are now inviting leading decentralized developers, entrepreneurs, and curators to work with us to enable the delivery of the next generation of decentralized applications (Dapps). To this end, we have established a 1,111,111 AMP fund, with an estimated value of approximately $200,000, which will be distributed to carefully selected applicants. The application deadline is September 6th.

From all applicants we will select the best:

1. 3 developers/teams keen on creating dapps

2. 3 developers/teams working on open source platforms

3. 3-8 curators who help Synereo decide how to allocate funds

The purpose of Curators is to decentralize the grant awarding mechanism. Curators can regulate the scale of Synereo's operations while democratizing the grant awarding process.

From its own bounty wallet to external sources, Synereo aims to continuously recycle funds into projects11 (watch the news on this soon!) to create a healthy ecosystem of dApps.
