When it comes to accepting Bitcoin, Keene is considered a forward-thinking area that embraces digital currency. According to Free Keene, Keene has a higher percentage of people and businesses that accept Bitcoin than San Francisco.

In August, a Keene-based trucking company that ships vegan food to Vietnam and France announced it would accept Bitcoin. The area also has its own Bitcoin vending machine, which was installed in 2014 and has attracted a lot of attention in the area.

Now, a local Bitcoin radio ad has been launched today in an effort to empower local businesses and ensure more money stays in the Keene area.

The first ad features some local small and medium-sized businesses. The second ad, scheduled to be released in a few weeks, will highlight how local business owners have begun accepting Bitcoin and how it benefits the entire Keene.
