The "Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor" says: "All diseases are caused by qi." Excessive or insufficient qi, in addition to directly causing real or false symptoms of the heart and lungs, also indirectly affects the functions of the body's body fluids, meridians, and internal organs. The Yintang not only observes the "spirit" of the heart, but also controls the functions of the other four organs, "soul", "spirit", "intention" and "will". The "spirit", "soul", "spirit", "intention" and "will" mentioned in the "Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor" are what people today call the three major parts of consciousness, subconsciousness and super consciousness. The conscious mind is the function of thinking, the superconscious mind is the function of the spirit, and the subconscious mind is in between the two. The functions of the three parts are all reflected in the Yin Tang, so "Shui Jing Ji" says: "Therefore, before good or bad luck comes, its energy will first emanate from this place and then retreat here." And "Yin Tang is also the purple air star, the gathering place of the body's energy." It can be seen that Yin Tang is the pivot of the gathering and dispersion of the seven emotions, the gateway to the exchange of good and bad luck. The changes in its luster and complexion can determine the success or failure of thinking and fortune. If a mortal's forehead is smooth and bright, without any dull red, green, black, white or other unlucky colors, it means that the body and mind are at peace and everything goes as planned; if the forehead is smooth and bright, and there are lucky colors such as bright red, purple, and yellow, then everything you do will be profitable, and happiness will come from the sky; if the forehead is dull and has some mixed colors, it means that you are in a normal state, but minor worries and troubles are inevitable; if the forehead is dull and there are evil mixed colors such as red, green, black, and white, then you must guard against disasters from the sky.
