Spark ZCASH Mining Pool (   http://zcash.flypool.org/   ) supports CPU and graphics card mining. Now miners can follow the instructions below to test the miner and Spark Pool before the official release. After the official release, miners can mine ZCASH in the Spark ZCASH mining pool.

Zcash is expected to be officially released on October 28 (the exact date is unknown), and the official mining will also begin. Currently, it is test network mining, and all test coins will be cleared.

It should be noted that: in the first 34 days (i.e. the first 20,000 blocks), the coins per block increase linearly. On the 34th day, the reward contained in each block reaches 12.5 coins. For the next four years, the reward for each block is 12.5 coins, and the reward is halved after four years. A new block is generated every 150 seconds. In the first 34 days, a total of 125,000 ZEC coins will be mined. In the first four years, 20% of the reward for each block is distributed to Zcash developers, and miners receive 80%.

Zcash supports CPU mining and GPU (graphics card) mining. Although GPU mining efficiency is higher than CPU, GPU does not have a monopoly advantage, at least based on current data.

Get Zcash wallet address

Yunbi will start trading Zcash (ZEC) on the 28th. If miners do not want to run their own wallets to generate addresses, they can go to Yunbi (   https://yunbi.com/accounts#   ) Generate a Zcash wallet address, and the mined coins will be transferred to this address.

If you want to use a local wallet, please refer to the official documentation (   https://github.com/zcash/zcash/wiki/Beta-Guide   ) Install the wallet on your Linux system.

Please note that the wallet address in the testing phase cannot be used in the official network on the 28th. The wallet address must be regenerated after the official release.

CPU Mining

A new version of the open source CPU mining software has been released. Compared with the previous version, the mining speed has doubled. You can download "Spark Zcash One-click CPU+GPU (N card) mining" from the Zcash group file, or go to   Spark Zcash One-Click CPU_GPU_N Card_Mining_0.21 Version.zip download. Operating system requirements: 64-bit Windows system. The latest version of the mining software does not have a Linux version yet, so you need to wait.

Change the red box address to your own Zcash address. The circle rig1 represents the mining machine number, which you can customize. Save the changes.

Double-click "Only CPU Mining" to start CPU mining.

If you see the above interface, it means you have successfully connected to the Spark Zcash mining pool. The yellow value is your mining speed. The mining speed shown in the screenshot is 0.399Sols/s. The mining speed will gradually increase and eventually reach a stable value. There is a color distinction in the Window10 system, but not in the Windows7 system.

If you don’t have a Zcash wallet address, you can run the test without changing the wallet address to check your CPU mining speed and connection to the mining pool. You can add your own Zcash wallet address when you start mining.

GPU (Graphics Card) Mining

Currently, there is only open source N-card mining software, and two A-card open source mining software will be released. Note that A-cards are not unsuitable for mining Zcash, but they are very efficient. A third-party released an A-card GPU mining software (not open source) that is bound to a mining pool, which charges very high handling fees. When using this software, miners cannot choose the mining pool themselves, so it is not recommended to use this software. You can use it for testing during the testing phase, and the Zcash QQ group file can be downloaded.

The following is an introduction to N card mining.

First, let's introduce mining with GPU only. The parameter -t 0 means turning off CPU mining, and -cd 0 means mining with one graphics card. If there are 2 graphics cards, write -cd 0 1, if there are 3 graphics cards, write -cd 0 1 2, if there are 4 graphics cards, write -cd 0 1 2 3, if there are 5 graphics cards, write -cd 0 1 2 3 4, if there are 6 graphics cards, write -cd 0 1 2 3 4 5. Just like CPU mining, replace the wallet address with your own and customize the mining machine number. Save the changes and double-click to mine.

GPU and CPU can mine at the same time, the number of graphics cards is the same as above. Save the changes and double-click to mine.

How to check mining pool computing power and revenue

Spark Mining Pool does not require an account registration, anonymous mining, your wallet address is your username. If you follow the steps above and modify your Zcash wallet address,   http://zcash.flypool.org/   Enter your Zcash wallet address in the upper right corner of the page, click View, and enter your personal homepage.

Check the transfer record on the mining pool transfer page. The mining pool uses automatic transfer mode, and the default balance is 0.1 coins and automatically transferred to the miner's wallet address. You can modify the automatic transfer amount in "Settings" and fill in the mining machine's public network IP for identity verification.

Spark Mining Pool (http://pool.ethfans.org/   ) also operates an Ethereum mining pool. Miners who intend to mine Zcash can try Ethereum mining at Xinghuo before the 28th to understand the mining pool model in advance.
