Bitcoin Jesus Roger Ver Considers Double Rewards for Bitcoin Miners

There are some interesting discussions going on in the Bitcoin community right now. Roger Ver, one of the few early Bitcoin adopters, recently made an interesting statement. He said that he would consider paying out of his own pocket to increase Bitcoin’s block reward from the current 12.5 BTC to 25 BTC .

Technically, it is impossible to increase the current block reward except by forking the Bitcoin source code. Of course, this is not what Roger Ver wants.

In fact, it is still unclear whether Roger Ver intends to carry out this block reward doubling plan.

There is currently a huge debate among the developers of Core, Classic, and Unlimited. The scaling solutions they support are very different. However, the final choice is still in the hands of miners.

One way to attract miners is by increasing mining rewards. Roger Ver mentioned that he is willing to双倍or even 3倍the normal block reward of 12.5 BTC. Although this may not be a long-term plan, it will undoubtedly be very interesting. He also clarified that this method is different from buying computing power, but a way to buy extra Bitcoin and return it to the community.

Mining pool incentives are a double-edged sword concept. Miners already earn block rewards for processing mining and transactions. Adding additional incentives now seems a bit too much. It's not forbidden or unethical, but it's clear that any such approach is unsustainable.

Incentivizing Bitcoin miners and making them more decentralized is an option worth exploring. While doubling or tripling the block reward may be a bit outrageous, given the difficulty of miners, many people will pay a little extra for their efforts.

In the end, it all comes down to solving Bitcoin’s scalability problem. Roger Ver’s idea may be controversial. But it also offers some creative thinking. It will be interesting to see if this idea can achieve its goals.
