OKEx Announcement on Opening SBTC Trading

Dear OKEx Users:

Super Bitcoin (SBTC) has decided to have a hard fork at block height 498888 (estimated to be December 13, 2017, Beijing time). As a company dedicated to Bitcoin and digital asset applications, OKEx aims to serve every customer well. We support all mainstream Bitcoin technology development routes and do not have the power to help users choose which Bitcoin technology to use. Therefore, we leave the choice to the market and customers.

OKEx will open the BTC to fork coin exchange function in advance at 18:00 on December 7, 2017, and launch fork coin/BTC trading. The specific plan is as follows:

1. OKEx will support withdrawals and transactions of various forked coins, and you can freely decide how to dispose of all your digital assets.

2. We will name the coins generated by the hard fork of the Super Bitcoin Team SBTC. After BTC is exchanged for SBTC, it will be temporarily frozen. We name the temporarily frozen BTC F4SBTC. Before the fork is successful, F4SBTC cannot be traded, withdrawn, transferred, etc. Please exchange with caution.

3. From December 7, 2017 to block height 498888, OKEx will support the exchange between BTC and SBTC and F4SBTC. 1 BTC can be exchanged for 1 SBTC and 1 F4SBTC, and SBTC and F4SBTC in equal proportion can also be exchanged back to BTC. At the same time, OKEx will launch SBTC/BTC transactions.

4. If the fork fails, users can redeem F4SBTC back to BTC at a 1:1 ratio.

5. If the fork is successful, OKEx will issue SBTC at a 1:1 ratio for the BTC held in your OKEx spot account, and redeem F4SBTC back to BTC at a 1:1 ratio.

6. If BTC successfully hard forks to produce another stable forked coin before the block height reaches 498888 (or the same height), OKEx will distribute fork candies to users according to the total amount of BTC and F4SBTC held by the user.

7. Since BTC is the denominated currency of OKEx, if the fork is successful, the denominated currency BTC will represent the new BTC. Take LTC/BTC as an example. Before the fork, it was LTC/(F4SBTC+SBTC), and the moment the fork was successful, it suddenly became LTC/F4SBTC. Therefore, at the moment the fork is successful, the prices of ETH/BTC, ETC/BTC, LTC/BTC, SBTC/BTC, etc. may jump. Please pay attention to the trading risks.

8. The contract account takes a snapshot at block height 498888, calculates the amount of BTC assets based on the user's account equity (account equity = margin amount + realized profit and loss + unrealized profit and loss), and distributes an equal amount of SBTC to the user after the fork is successful.

9. The C2C account takes a snapshot at block height 498888, calculates the amount of BTC assets based on the available BTC amount of the account, and distributes an equal amount of SBTC to the user after the fork is successful.

We remind you again:

2. From the eve of the fork until the blockchain network is stable, OKEx will stop Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals. To facilitate your transactions, we recommend that you deposit Bitcoin in advance to prevent unexpected market conditions from preventing you from being unable to deposit.
