Hardware Parameters

• The overall power consumption of the low-power host does not exceed 50W, and it has 4 USB3.0 interfaces

• A CPU with 4 cores can run 4 nodes simultaneously

• 8G ensures that each node has 2G memory available

• 16G SSD, install the system CentOS 7, the system installation part will not be introduced here

• 4 3TB 3.5-inch hard drives, 4 corresponding SATA to USB3.0 easy-drive cables

Software Installation

1. Installing the base package is very simple, specific CentOs7

 ## Install the epel repository yum -y install vim wget git epel-release htop git gcc-c++ make ## Download the nvm installation script wget -qO- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/creationix/nvm/v0.33.3/install.sh | bash ## Reopen a terminal and run the nvm environment installation nvm install --lts

## Upgrade system environment yum -y update

## Install storj daemon npm install --global storjshare-daemon -registry=https://registry.npm.taobao.org

Storj Node Configuration

 ## Create a Storj node, where YOUR_STORJ_TOKEN_WALLET_ADRESS is your myetherwallet payment wallet address, and storage is followed by the file storage path storjshare create --storj=YOUR_STORJ_TOKEN_WALLET_ADRESS --storage=/mnt/storjmerge/storj.io/

The example is as follows. Please replace the content after --storj= with your own, otherwise all the currency earned will be given to me.

Storj node startup

 ## Start the daemon storjshare daemon## Start the node storjshare start --config /path/to/storjconfig/xxxx.json

In the default configuration, the node exchanges data with the outside world through NAT mode, which may actually reduce efficiency and make it more difficult to obtain contracts and data. We need to make additional configuration adjustments to implement TCP external functions through more in-depth configurations such as DDNS and port mapping. Related content will be introduced later.
