Antminer B3 Mining Tutorial

1. Material preparation

1. Hardware: an Antminer B3 mining machine, a power supply for the mining machine (choose the APW3++ power supply sold on the Bitmain official website), an Internet cable, a power cord, and a computer (the computer is only used for configuration when starting up and is not needed during the mining process).

2. Software download: Find IP software https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?pid=00720160906053730999PVD2K0vz0693

3. Wallet address: Prepare a BTM Bytom wallet address. Currently, the BTM configuration address of AntPool is the ERC20 token address.

4. Mining pool account:

a. Go to Bitmain official website and register a Bitmain official website account

b. Enter Ant Mining Pool, log in to your account and create a sub-account

c. After creating a sub-account, enter the user page, enter the miner management and create a miner number

  2. Wiring and Inspection of Mining Machine

1. Connect the hashboard and control board: B3 has 3 hashboards, each of which has 2 PCIE interfaces. Each PCIE interface must be connected to a power cord. The B3 control board has one PCIE interface and only needs to be connected to one power cord.

2. Network cable connection: There is a network cable interface on the front of B3. Pay attention to the direction when connecting and make sure the crystal head is inserted in place.

3. Check the plug: Check whether the cable is loose or not properly plugged in. Check whether the fan plug is loose or not properly plugged in.

  3. Use of Mining Machine

1. Find the mining machine IP: After the power is supplied, the mining machine starts to start. When the green light of the mining machine starts to flash, you can find the mining machine IP. The method to find the mining machine IP is as follows:

a. Open the software and click "Start"

b. Press the IP button on the mining machine

c. Feedback mining machine IP on the computer

Note: The mining machine and the computer must be in the same network, otherwise the signal fed back by the mining machine cannot be received.

2. Enter the mining machine backend: After the mining machine's IP is found, enter the obtained IP address in the web page. After pressing Enter, a dialog box will pop up. Enter the username and password and press Enter. Enter root for both.

3. Modify the mining machine IP: Click "Network" to enter the mining machine IP setting page, select "Static", enter the IP, subnet mask, gateway, DNS in the four boxes below, and then click "Save&Apply" to save. After the page buffering is completed, proceed to the next step.

Remark:

a. If the number of mining machines is less than 3, you can skip this step. (You can decide whether to skip it. It is not necessary to set a static IP for less than 3 machines.)

4. Configure the mining pool and miner: Click "Miner Configuration" to enter the mining pool and miner configuration page. Fill in the mining pool address in the URL (the default is Ant Pool, which can be left unchanged), the worker number (just copy the one created by Ant Pool), and the password. Click "Save&Apply" to save. (This step is to connect the mining machine to the mining pool)

4. Check the mining machine status and computing power

At this point, the configuration of the mining machine has been completed, and the computing power curve of the mining machine can be seen in the mining pool.

Enter the mining machine management backend "Miner Status" to view the working status of the mining machine.
