Europe's most energy-efficient data center tests Bitcoin and Ethereum mining

According to Cointelegraph, the ITB2 data center in the Netherlands, one of the most energy-efficient data centers in Europe, has set up a Bitcoin and Ethereum mining laboratory to specifically test the impact of blockchain technology on energy consumption and infrastructure cooling.

Niei Hensen, director of the ITB2 data center, said that digital currencies were chosen for testing because they are well known, blockchain is now widely used, and the income from digital currency mining can help offset the laboratory's operating costs.
