Yilifang ETN will support AISC at block height 324500, and Ant X3 may be able to mine ETN

The official Facebook page of ETN announced that an emergency hard fork upgrade will be carried out at the block height of 324500 of the main network of ETN.

Officials said that Yilifang’s previous resistance to the AISC upgrade was successful, but there were not so many GPU miners mining on its network, resulting in a very high risk of network security.

They are going to launch 10 exchanges in July, hoping to improve network security and stability. They can’t wait for GPU miners any longer, so they decided to switch back to supporting ASIC algorithms.

“This is a very positive move for Electroneum. A lot of Bitcoin’s trust and appeal comes from the huge hashrate and distribution of miners on the network. Bitcoin and Litecoin have already adopted ASICs, and we think it’s right for Electroneum to do the same.”

ASIC miners are becoming more popular, they are much cheaper to run than GPU miners and use less electricity. We will encourage more ASICs and increase our hashrate to (or even beyond) the massive hashrate we had before May.

Because ASIC miners run cooler and quieter, they are more suitable for more people to run at home.”

If EliteFang changes back to the ASIC algorithm, Antminer A3, CoreSonic A8 and CoreSonic A8+ can all be used for mining.
