Bitmain's Wu Jihan: Token issuance projects should fully disclose information and provide dividends

Bitmain founder Jihan Wu said at the BCH Anniversary International Summit today: In the past, we raised funds by selling shares (assets) or bonds (bonds), but now we can raise tens or hundreds of times more funds through the initial token offering. However, some project owners mislead investors for monetary gain, which is not a good sign for the long-term development of the community. The cryptocurrency industry should not condone such bad habits.

Wu Jihan believes that if it is a bond, the principal plus interest should be promised, and if it is a stock, ownership and dividends should be promised to provide economic benefits to the buyer. Investing in cryptocurrencies requires keeping these ancient principles in mind, and also reflects the innovation of changing the world. Tokens should share profits or risks equally with holders, make full information disclosure, and provide dividends to all holders. At present, the better cases are several major platform coins, such as Huobi, OKEx, Binance, etc. On the one hand, they maintain economic benefits for holders, and on the other hand, the issuer achieves a process similar to stock repurchase by repurchasing or burning tokens.
