Zhao Yu: EOS has not kept up with the pace of mainnet launch in terms of governance

Zhao Yu of EOS LaoMao said in the program "Ninghua Blockchain" of the global EOS node Q&A program, "ECAF is also called EOS Core Arbitration Forum. This section stipulates that any disputes within the EOS system should be resolved by arbitrators in ECAF. ECAF can be said to be a core function of EOS, a public chain that claims to have on-chain governance. But everyone knows that EOS has not kept up with the pace of the mainnet launch in terms of governance."

Zhao Yu said that everyone has different understandings of what ECAF stipulated in the constitution means. Some people believe that ECAF should be a default arbitration organization in the future, and any DAPP that does not specify an arbitration organization should default to ECAF for arbitration. Others hold opposing views, believing that DAPPs that do not explicitly specify an arbitration organization should be assumed to have no arbitration function by default. Each DAPP is like a piece of free enclave, gathering groups of people who agree with different rules.
