S9 Hydro Water Cooling Miner User Guide

1. Material preparation

1. Hardware: Antminer S9 Hydro bare metal, power supply for the mining machine (it is recommended to choose the APW5 silent power supply sold on the Bitmain official website), network cable, power cord, computer (the computer is only used for configuration when starting up and is not needed during the mining process).

If you choose to use a water radiator for heat dissipation, you will also need to purchase a water radiator assembly on the official website. If you are a personal user and want to use it at home, it is recommended to use it with a water radiator assembly.

  If mine users choose outdoor water sources, they need to build their own drainage pipe system and install cooling towers and water purification devices.

3. Mining pool account:

a. Go to Bitmain official website and register a Bitmain official website account

b. Enter Ant Mining Pool, log in to your account and create a sub-account

c. After creating a sub-account, enter the user page, enter the miner management and create a miner number

2. Wiring and Inspection of Mining Machine

1. Connect the water inlet and outlet of the mining machine:

If water discharge is used for heat dissipation, connect the water pipe of the water pump outlet to the water inlet on the upper side of the mining machine body, and connect the water pipe of the water discharge inlet to the water outlet on the lower side of the machine body.

If you use an external water source to dissipate heat, connect the water injection pipe to the water inlet on the upper side of the mining machine, and connect the water outlet pipe to the water outlet on the lower side of the machine.

2. Pipeline fixing: Before installation, the hose must be put into the clamp first. After the hose and the joint are fixed, fix the clamp around the hose and the joint. In order to ensure a reliable connection, all such hose connections need to be tightened with clamps.

3. Injection and rehydration:

If you use an external water source to dissipate heat, you need to fill the entire mining machine with filtered and cooled water, and be careful not to leave any bubbles;

When using a water drain to dissipate heat, unscrew the plug as shown in the figure when liquid injection is required. After the injection or refilling is completed, tighten the plug. In order to ensure smooth exhaust inside the system during operation, the water level cannot be higher than the maximum liquid level and cannot be lower than the minimum liquid level. If the water level is lower than the minimum liquid level during the operation of the mining machine, it is necessary to replenish the liquid in time.

To ensure stable operation of water-cooled mining machines, the water quality must meet the following requirements:

4. Connect the hashboard and control board: Connect the power interface to the hashboard and control board of the mining machine respectively. Each interface needs to be connected to the power cord.

5. Network cable connection: There is a network cable interface on the front of S9 Hydro . Pay attention to the direction when connecting and make sure the crystal head is inserted into place.

6. Fan terminal installation: Install the fan terminal and the water exhaust assembly fan terminal as shown in the figure. A one-to-two cable is standardly configured. Five terminals are connected to six water exhaust fans, and the other terminal is the water pump terminal.

7. Check the wiring: Check whether the cable is loose or not properly plugged in; check whether the fan plug is loose or not properly plugged in.

3. Use of Mining Machine

1. Find the mining machine IP: After the power is supplied, the mining machine starts to start. When the green light of the mining machine starts to flash, you can find the mining machine IP. The method to find the mining machine IP is as follows:

a. Open the software and click "Start"

b. Press the IP button on the mining machine

c. Feedback mining machine IP on the computer

Note: The mining machine and the computer must be in the same network, otherwise the signal fed back by the mining machine cannot be received.

2. Enter the mining machine backend: After the mining machine's IP is found, enter the obtained IP address in the web page. After pressing Enter, a dialog box will pop up. Enter the username and password and press Enter. Enter root for both.

3. Modify the mining machine IP: Click "Network" to enter the mining machine IP setting page, select "Static", enter the IP, subnet mask, gateway, DNS in the four boxes below, and then click "Save&Apply" to save. After the page buffering is completed, proceed to the next step.

Remark:

a. If the number of mining machines is less than 3, you can skip this step. (You can decide whether to skip it. It is not necessary to set a static IP for less than 3 machines.)

4. Configure mining pool and miners:

Click "MinerConfiguration" to enter the mining pool and miner configuration page. Fill in the mining pool address in the URL, the miner number in Worker (just copy the one created by AntPool), and the Password. Click "Save&Apply" to save.

4. Check the mining machine status and computing power

At this point, the configuration of the mining machine has been completed. Enter the mining machine management background "Miner Status" to view the working status of the mining machine.
