Cryptocurrency miners turn to small American towns

According to Bitcoinist, despite a tough year for the cryptocurrency market, miners are still betting on many small towns in the United States. Because many miners realize that their noisy mining machines will not become a popular attraction in the town, miners are moving their operations to smaller and more remote areas in the United States.

Wenatchee, Washington, known as the "Apple Capital of the World," now has a new neighbor, with a large number of computer servers busy mining cryptocurrency. David Carlson, founder of Giga Watt Mining, said he chose the Wenatchee area because of the cheap hydroelectric power provided by the nearby Columbia River.
