After Chaoyang District, Beijing, another district is banned from hosting virtual currency promotion activities

Today (August 29), a reporter from the "Daily Economic News" confirmed from the Guangzhou Development Zone Financial Bureau that the bureau recently jointly issued a notice with the Guangzhou Development Zone Economic and Information Bureau prohibiting the hosting of virtual currency promotion activities.

The notice stated that in order to protect the property rights and interests of the public, safeguard the legal tender status of the RMB, prevent money laundering risks, and maintain the security and stability of the financial system, in accordance with the provisions of the "Notice on Further Cleaning Up and Rectifying Bitcoin and Other Virtual Currency Trading Venues" issued by the Office of the National Internet Financial Risk Special Rectification Leading Group, all relevant units in the district are now required not to host any form of virtual currency promotion and publicity activities. If you are aware of any relevant circumstances, please report them to the District Economic and Information Bureau and the District Financial Affairs Bureau in a timely manner.

Previously, the Office of the Leading Group for Financial and Social Risk Prevention and Control in Chaoyang District, Beijing, issued a "Notice on Prohibition of Hosting Virtual Currency Promotion Activities", requiring shopping malls, hotels, guesthouses, office buildings, etc. not to host any form of virtual currency promotion and publicity activities.
