Bitmain loses first instance lawsuit in patent infringement dispute

According to Caijing, on August 31, the Urumqi Intermediate People's Court of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region ruled to dismiss the lawsuit filed by the plaintiffs Beijing Bitmain Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Suanfeng Technology Co., Ltd. On the same day, both parties received the "Civil Judgment", which has been 11 days since then. As of press time, Bitmain has not yet continued to appeal.

In July 2017, Bitmain and Suanfeng Technology sued Shenzhen BitMicro, Xinte Energy Co., Ltd., and Beijing Biranruo Network Technology Co., Ltd. for infringement of utility model patents. On July 27, the Urumqi Intermediate People's Court of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region accepted the case for trial. On August 31, 2018, the Urumqi Intermediate People's Court of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region issued a first-instance judgment, dismissing Bitmain's lawsuit.
